Support our Fundraiser
Last year, we supported 165 of the most isolated people in our region at our Christmas Day events. We would love to be able to offer events again this year. But the income has been slow to secure, leaving us with a major funding crisis. We’ve set up a fundraiser on Facebook, with a target of £8,500. Any donations would be so gratefully appreciated, and would help us make sure no one is alone if they don’t want to be this Christmas.
Volunteer with us
We rely on our team of merry volunteers to make our Christmas Day lunches extra special. We’re looking for driving volunteers to transport our guests to and from events safely. Apply here. We’re delighted that our volunteering roles are very popular, so apply as soon as possible.
3 – Have a conversation about loneliness
Our vision is to create a society where loneliness is recognised openly as something we are all likely to experience. One of the first steps to achieve this is to have a frank and honest conversation with someone you trust about times when you might have experienced loneliness, and be open to hearing their experiences too. If someone you know is lonely, Christmas can be difficult, so it could be a nice idea to gently reach out and let them know you care. You could also have a read of our top tips for feeling less lonely.

We’re delighted that The Clifton Club will be donating the proceeds from their wonderful Christmas Fair to Marmalade Trust this year! It’s the perfect way to kick off the festive season.
