MARMALADE TRUST
Legacy giving.
Leaving a gift in your Will is a great way of supporting the Marmalade Trust. Your gift would help us continue our important work in raising awareness of loneliness and supporting the loneliest people in our region to make friends.
There are three different types of gifts you can make in your Will:
-
Pecuniary Gift - a pecuniary gift is a fixed sum of money i.e £1,000.00
-
Specific Gift - specific gift is a gift of a specific valuable asset such as jewellery, shares, property or antiques.
-
Residuary Gift – a share of your residuary estate. Your residuary estate is your estate after the payment of liabilities, specific gifts, pecuniary legacies and testamentary expenses. This could be expressed as a percentage or a fraction of your estate, i.e 1/3 of your estate or 10% of your estate.
Gifts made to charity are exempt from inheritance tax.
When writing your Will we would recommend you speak to a Solicitor to ensure your wishes are met.
