Loneliness Awareness Week.
Loneliness Awareness Week will take place from 14 - 18 June. Hosted by Marmalade Trust, it's a campaign that raises awareness of loneliness and gets people talking about it.
ACCEPTANCE
We get lonely; we understand it and we experience it. This Loneliness Awareness Week, we're encouraging people to see loneliness as an experience, not as a condition. It doesn't define us. By building a greater awareness and acceptance of loneliness, we can help ourselves and others to manage the feeling.
We get lonely... do you?

#LetsTalkLoneliness
We all feel lonely at times – it’s a natural human emotion. We're biologically wired for social contact, and loneliness is our signal that we need more.
After a year of lockdowns, social distancing, and restrictions, more of us are experiencing loneliness than ever, which is having a great impact on our wellbeing. We need to remove the stigma and shame surrounding loneliness. And the best way to do that? Let's talk about it! Let's make this the year we accept that loneliness exists.
How will you get involved?
We are asking everyone (yes you!) to get involved! Together we can get loneliness.
In 2020...
Last year we reached around 271.5 million people with our campaign – all without leaving our homes. We saw almost 20,000 charities, organisations, companies and individuals get involved online. We even got a tweet from the Royal Family! Read more >>
